Summary:
Michael confronts Tyge about Whistler; Tyge says he worked at the Ambassador Hotel in Nice, then clams up and won’t say more. Tyge then spies on Michael, Mahone and Whistler, but can’t hear them.

At her hideout, Susan tells LJ about being captured while serving in Mosul. When she heard US choppers coming, she jumped out the window to escape – and it was interpreted as a hostile act. Her rescuers died – and she found out it had been a hostage exchange. Her scars came from being raped and abused over the next three weeks. And she pointedly tells LJ that tonight is a hostage exchange.

Mahone’s tired of Tyge spying on them and warns him to mind his own business. Meanwhile, Linc visits Michael. Michael tells Linc he has to find a way to slip something into Hurtado’s coffee. The escape is in just three hours, at 3:13pm. And Michael will call it off unless he gets a current photo of Sara and LJ by 2:30.

T-Bag is getting nowhere finding out who the thief in Lechero’s crew is, though he suspects Sammy. Lechero, whose real name is Norman – not a name you want to use around him if you want to continue breathing – wants results.

Soon,Michael scopes out a two-room cell (really, two cells with a door knocked into the wall between them) he’s planning to make his escape from, but has to hide when its occupants – Lechero’s men, Sammy, Papo and Cheo – arrive. Cheo smokes a cigar Sammy’s been receiving in his packages from Augusto. Michael just barely manages to pick the lock on the back room door and get out before he’s discovered.

Lang visits Mahone and says she’s going to get him out of there – within 48 hours he’ll be transferred to St. Louis and will only have to serve eight years, so long as he testifies against the government in the Lincoln Burrows conspiracy. And if he doesn’t cooperate, he could be charged with multiple homicide counts. But Mahone turns her down.

There is a commotion in the yard. Tyge’s been murdered. If Lechero finds who has gone outside his justice system to settle a dispute, they’re in deep trouble. The body was found near where McGrady plays basketball all day, so McGrady is forced to tell Lechero that he saw somebody go into the staircase, and then he heard an argument a minute later. It was Whistler. Lechero comes for Whistler and drags him away. Michael’s not buying this; Whistler’s got too much at stake. He suspects Mahone.

Whistler tells Lechero he’s punishing the wrong man; Lechero must know he has enemies in the government. Lechero is offended at the notion that he would favor the rich and aristocratic. When he was 13, his mother, a maid, was raped by her wealthy employer. He got away with it – but young Norman dressed as a milkman – a “lechero” - and got into the man’s gates and killed him. Whistler says he’s in here for killing a man who assaulted the woman he loves. Lechero respects this, and agrees to give Whistler time to prove his innocence.

Susan gives Linc drops to knock out the guard. Linc asks for a faked picture of Sara. She agrees, and tells him the exchange is at 9pm tonight.

T-Bag advises Michael to frame Sammy, but Michael can’t go through with it. He goes to visit Mahone – and finds a bloody shiv.

Linc just misses an opportunity to drug Hurtado’s coffee, so Sofia pretends to need a ride in order to have another chance. Linc follows as they drive off. Hurtado recognizes Sofia from the prison gates and pulls over – he’ll arrange private visitation time in Sona with her lover… but only if she’ll have sex with him right now. Linc pulls over to investigate; as he gets out of his car, Susan calls to say the photograph is ready. In Hurtado’s car, Sofia says okay… so long as Norman doesn’t find out. Hurtado, terrified at the thought that he tried to mess with one of Lechero’s girls, pulls away. Linc, relaxing, tells Susan there were complications drugging the guard, but they’ve been taken care of. Susan says the drugs only take an hour to work – why’s he drugging the guard now? She hangs up on him and prepares to kill LJ. Just as she’s about to do it, Linc calls back and frantically explains about the time switch. Susan suspects a rescue attempt, and hangs up on him again.

Michael confronts Mahone with the shiv, but Mahone is called away to the visitation cage. He is visited by Lang and Sullins, and this time, he agrees to cooperate. Michael goes to Lechero with the shiv, accusing Mahone – but Lechero isn’t buying it… he knows Mahone just got out of Sona, and thinks this is too convenient. He seems about to kill Whistler, but then turns and stabs Cheo. Lechero smells the cigar on him; Augusto used to send him those cigars as tribute. He lets Whistler go. As Sucre sprays Tyge’s body, Rafael, a co-worker who may have noticed the packages Sucre’s been sneaking in, threatens him.

Meanwhile, Linc meets with Susan, who tells him LJ’s still alive – and hands him an undoctored photo of Sara holding an old newspaper. This will never fool Michael. Linc visits Michael and tells him that Susan knows about the time change. And he finally has to admit that Sara’s dead. Michael walks away as Linc begs him to cooperate for LJ’s sake. Michael collapses in grief – and then tells Whistler Sara’s dead because of him. And he challenges Whistler to a fight to the death.

Summary:
Driving along Highway 150 towards Salt Lake City, Utah, Michael and Lincoln find out via a radio report that the Fox River Eight has become the Fox River Seven after the death of John Abruzzi. Lincoln suggests that they could keep driving to Arizona to pick up L. J. and head immediately to Panama. Michael becomes agitated as he reminds Lincoln that they need Westmoreland’s money before they can do anything.

At the Federal Bureau of Investigation field office in Chicago, Agent Mahone is told by Agent Lang that a man matching T-Bag’s description is heading west on Route 180. However, he is displeased that none of the agents has information on Michael, apart from the technician who has recovered sixty percent of the data from Michael’s hard drive; most of them were documents on D. B. Cooper.

At a motel in Mack, Colorado, 10 miles from the Colorado/Utah border, Debra Jean and Tweener lie in bed as they talk about their future. The song playing on the radio is Under the Milky Way by The Church. A police officer knocks on their door. Tweener becomes nervous as Debra Jean answers the door. Holding out a Fox River photo of Tweener, the police officer asks if she has seen Tweener, to which she denies. After she closes the door, Debra Jean tells Tweener that she is going to leave her car keys on the table by the door, Tweener sadly tells her that he wished they had met under different circumstances. Tweener makes his way to Utah at the same time as T-Bag, who suggests that they collaborate with each other.

Simultaneously, Michael and Lincoln head to a municipal building in Utah. They locate books of old maps which contain all the details of the area including topography. However, upon finding the index entry of “Karl Kokosing”, who was referred to as “Double-K” (and whose Double-K Ranch Westmoreland had hid the money in), the page which they needed, Map 1213, was already ripped out. As they leave the building, Lincoln sees T-Bag walking outside the building. They capture T-Bag and force him to reveal where the map is. T-Bag tells them that he has already teamed up with Tweener, and that Tweener is the one with the map. Michael and Lincoln lock T-Bag in the trunk of their car before they proceed to find Tweener.

Travelling on a train across Green River, Wyoming, C-Note also heads to Utah and attempts to use a ticket stub as his ticket. With his neighbor’s permission, C-Note uses her notebook computer to go to the United States Army Signal Corps website to search for “K K Ranch”. As he writes down the coordinates provided by the website (43° 46′ 45.9″ N 111° 38′ 35.5 W), the conductor arrives to tell him that his ticket is invalid and that he will be escorted off the train by police officers at the next station. C-Note escapes by jumping off the train into a river, and makes his way from Preston, Idaho to Utah on foot to find the money. While passing through Cache County, Utah, C-Note attempts to refresh himself with a garden hose in someone’s front yard. When the owner intervenes, C-Note asks her how much for her RV. She replies $40,000.00. C-Note says that he will be back “in a couple of days” with cash.

100 miles from Las Vegas, Nevada, Sucre telephones various chapels in Vegas in order to discover where Maricruz and Hector are getting married. After finding the correct chapel, Sucre immediately goes there and meets Maricruz’s sister, Theresa, who tells him that Maricruz is taking photographs with her parents and that he must wait. Hector comes in and tells Sucre that Maricruz will be with them shortly. Sucre angrily tells Hector that he will not be raising his and Maricruz’s child. When he hears the police siren, Sucre realizes that Hector had betrayed him once again and knocks him out in one punch. Seeing Theresa outside the room, Sucre asks if she had told Maricruz he was here. When she nods, he pulls his crucifix necklace off his neck and places it in Theresa’s hand before riding away. He is last seen filling up his motorcycle in Mesquite, Nevada, close to the Utah border.

Agent Kellerman is met in Chicago by Agent Kim, who is checking on Kellerman’s status. Kim questions Kellerman’s decision to go after Sara Tancredi and insists that he will be reporting to President Caroline Reynolds directly.

Sara looks through her mail as she prepares to leave her apartment for her daily NA meeting. She notices a handwritten envelope and rips it open. Inside was an origami swan with a series of number written inside one of its wings. After the NA meeting, Kellerman invites Sara to have dinner with him (after telling her that his partner Daniel has been out of town on a business trip). Sara calls her father, Governor Tancredi during his meeting with his advisors, who are telling him to distance himself from his daughter. He later arrives when “Lance” and Sara are having dinner. Governor Tancredi and Sara proceed to go to her kitchen to talk. Sara apologizes to him and tries to explain why she helped Michael to escape. She continues to tell her father about Lincoln’s innocence and how some of those people who are involved with the case are now dead. As they talk, Kellerman finds the origami swan and copies down the number, which turns out to be a phone number that has been disconnected for seventeen years.

In the meantime, Tweener attempts to purchase a shovel in a hardware store but the clerk recognizes him and beats him with a baseball bat. However, as he pulls Tweener into the back room, Michael and Lincoln intervene. After being rescued, Tweener tells them that T-Bag has the map. They go back to the car to find that T-Bag has memorized the map and eaten it. T-Bag agrees to take Michael and Lincoln to the Ranch in exchange for a fair cut. When they arrive at the designated location, they did not find the silo which Westmoreland mentioned but a subdivision which has been built upon.

Mahone struggles to map out the movements of the fugitives as well as examining the information scrounged from Michael’s hard drive - including numerous documents on D. B. Cooper - but he runs out of Midazolam, and as a result becomes agitated and shaky. He receives a call from someone and meets them out the front of the building. This someone turns out to be an informant Mahone had been using to find information on Oscar Shales and also to give Mahone a refill on his pills. Upon taking the pills Mahone almost immediately realizes (from Michael’s data and his own imagination) that Charles Westmoreland was in fact D. B. Cooper. Since most of the fugitives have been heading in the direction of Utah, Mahone reasons that somewhere in Salt Lake City is where Westmoreland most likely hid the money he extorted. Later, Mahone is again staring into his birdbath, just before leaving for his flight to Utah.

Governor Tancredi examines Lincoln’s case file as his advisor comes in to remind him of his flight to Washington D.C.. Tancredi’s advisor cautions him about Lincoln’s case and tells him about Nick Savrinn’s death and Veronica Donovan’s “disappearance”. He further suggests that he should stop asking questions if he wants to become the Vice President. Tancredi throws the file onto the table as he leaves.

Summary:
Lincoln spots a tail as he drives down a rural highway. Michael and Nika turn around to see Bellick and Geary following them. Geary speeds up next to their car and attempts to ram their car off the road. He succeeds in forcing their car down a ditch, hitting a tree. Bellick points his pistol at Lincoln, Michael and Nika as he tells Michael that he knows about the money in Utah and has decided to join them on their trip to pick up the money. Bellick forces them to get into his and Geary’s car.

At the field office of the FBI in Chicago, one of Agent Mahone’s subordinates inform him that 12 percent of the data from Michael’s hard drive, which he dumped in the river, has been recovered. These included the newspaper clippings of Abruzzi, Sara and D. B. Cooper’s money. Another agent then tells him about the positive match on the blood results - B negative, the same as Michael and Lincoln’s blood type. Mahone becomes agitated and tells all the agents in the office to not to announce deaths until they are confirmed, and orders them to do more tests.

Bellick and Geary are forced to stop when one of their car tires go flat, which Lincoln had secretly stuck a shard of glass under. Bellick proceeds to tell Geary to go to the nearest town to buy a tire and force Michael, Lincoln and Nika into the neighbouring woods. Tied up in an isolated building, Lincoln tells Michael that he doesn’t trust Nika. In the meantime, Nika negotiates with Bellick, convincing him that she wants Michael dead, that Michael was trying to set up Bellick in Panguitch, Utah, and that she will sleep with Bellick for a share of the money in Utah. Whilst seducing him, Nika tries to steal Bellick’s gun. Bellick returns her to the other room and tells her not to try and fool him. As he walks away, he realizes his knife was stolen, as Lincoln frees himself and uses the knife against Bellick. Upon Geary’s return, both Geary and Bellick are tied up. Bellick tells Michael about Sara’s overdose.

Kellerman, posing as Lance, tells the other recovering addicts at a Narcotics Anonymous meeting an emotional story, about his mother dying of multiple sclerosis and hinting that he may inherit it, knowing it is not genetic and will attract attention from Sara. After the meeting, Kellerman approaches Sara and begins to talk with her, trying to befriend her. As they eat their pies, Sara receives a call from Michael. Michael begins to apologise for everything that has happened to Sara, who does not want to talk to him. He insistently tells her that there is a way he can protect her and “it” is already in her possession. Sara is confused about what he is talking about. Kellerman looks up after hearing Sara calling for Michael, who had hung up.

Tweener travels with Debra Jean in her Toyota Yaris, which was also extensively featured in the Prison Break mobisodes. When the radio talks about the Fox River Eight’s escape, Tweener switches the radio to sing along - awkwardly to a John Denver song, Take Me Home, Country Roads. After Tweener spots a police officer, he tells Debra Jean to slow down even though she was only travelling at 65 miles per hour. Debra Jean becomes more suspicious of Tweener. Once the couple end up staying at The Lotus Motel in Mack, Colorado, Debra Jean relays her location on the phone to somebody.

T-Bag stops at a gas station in Friend, Nebraska. The police surround the SUV T-Bag stole from the murdered Dr. Gudat while he is in the station restroom. T-Bag pretends to be a former US Marine wounded in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He blames the stolen SUV on the “hippie” in the gas station restroom. The hippie was quickly taken into custody. Forced to abandon the SUV, he becomes a hitchhiker and is picked up by an unsuspecting man and his teenage daughter. T-Bag makes his perverted move, and the unsuspecting man attempts to attack T-Bag. T-Bag is able to knock out the man and steals his station wagon and hat.

In Brooklyn, New York, John Abruzzi reunites with his family. One of his mafia associates tells him that Otto Fibonacci is going to testify in Washington, D.C.. Abruzzi decides to get his revenge instead of hiding on a cargo ship back to Sardinia, Italy. When Abruzzi is informed of Fibonacci’s location, he’s told that the information is “from New Jersey; Fish-Head Tommy wants to pay tribute.” The lead on Fibonacci turns out to be fake, a setup not unlike Fibonacci’s set up upon him. Abruzzi decides to go down fighting, and is swiftly shot by Agent Mahone’s men.

Michael, Lincoln and Nika prepare to leave. Michael tells Nika he can take her into town. However, Nika wants to go with them. At Michael’s refusal, Nika relents and hugs him, bidding him farewell. As she hugs Lincoln, she reaches round to take the gun from Lincoln and points the gun at them. Nika confesses her love for Michael. She proceeds to use the cell phone to call the police but is stopped by Lincoln, who had pulled out the gun’s magazine clip earlier. He takes the gun and cell phone from Nika and gets in the car. Michael sadly wishes Nika luck and joins his brother in the car. They drive off leaving Nika standing alone on the side of the road.

Mahone receives the results of the lab tests which proves that the blood from the crash site was that of a pig. Reminded of his previous failure to capture Oscar Shales, Mahone unleashes his fury on the picture of Michael and says ominously to it, “You have no idea what you’re in for.”
